Inspired Wisdom For Your Life

• God’s light, love, and energy

The God to whom you pose such fundamental questions is with you and accompanies your journey as fully as the accompaniment of your guides. Your guides serve together with the God to whom you pray. It is not in reality two separate entities, God and guides, for the same reason that it is not two separate entities that delineate human life from God. You and we are not only part of creation, but we are also part of the creative energy that belongs to all that exists, human and not human.

We have emphasized frequently that all human beings belong to the entity, the energy, the reality of what God is, but it is also correct to acknowledge that God in that totality is actually more than the total sum of all that is. The reality that is God is the source of all. You consider the beginnings of your physical universe. Human beings are gradually learning that there was energy, there was a presence, before the existence of your universe. We say “before” not to imply a past, present, and future, but rather to imply that there is something beyond. There is an energy beyond the creation of your universe. There is an energy beyond the creation of all universes and all that is contained therein.

The sense of time as is used to organize human life is in itself not accurate, for all is. There is not a time before something existed. You can think of time as a kind of circle. It exists both without a beginning or an end. It simply is.

Understanding the reality of God requires a full acceptance of this existence of the circle. You could consider the existence of a sphere, if that is of help, where there are an infinite number of ways to perceive of its reality and one’s place within it. All that exists is part of this reality. The totality of that reality does not have a beginning.

Your awareness as a human being is limited to what could be described as nearby. You can physically see only so far with human vision, but despite the limits of human vision, you also know of the existence of a reality beyond what the human eye can see. There is light beyond what you can see. Even when that light exists in your immediate presence, your senses provide a limitation. Through the evolution of scientific discovery, your awareness of what lies beyond what you can see and feel and touch is expanding. But the basic reality is that your understanding of what actually is, what exists, will always be limited to what is proximate, and that proximate barrier will continue to move outward and yet remain limited.

This description, as it were, relates to the physical world. You can relate to those truths. When you consider the life of spirit, the principles of what is and what you can see through spirit are the same.

The presence of God far exceeds any human attempts to grasp and understand. Your view of God is always limited. We can say as we live in a spiritual universe that our perception of the reality of God has expanded exponentially from the understandings we had when many of us shared in human life, but even our vision, and by that we mean our understanding, has its own limits, for we are both part of God and a consequence of God’s entity as a creative energy. The difference between all-knowing and our perception is less than all-knowing and your perception, but we evolve, we grow. We are in the process of becoming love just as you are in that process.

When we say you are the hands, the heart, the eyes, the voice of God, that is absolutely true, but we could also say you are the hands, the heart, the eyes, the voice of God to the extent that you can be understanding that the hands, the heart, the eyes, the voice of God are far more extensive than what you can become. Because of that difference in reality, God’s presence is far greater than your presence, and yet your presence is an essential part of God’s reality. All that is created, whether living in your sense of living or not, all are part of that creative energy.

The love we speak of is the love of God, and the love that you express and that you give life to is also part of God’s love. That loving energy is a reality with far greater application than the human exercising of love in all of its complexities. You have an understanding of many different kinds of love. You have an understanding of how love can be brought into relationships with other human beings and with your environment, but that application of love is only a part of the spectrum of love that exists because of God’s presence.

Your concepts of these many manifestations of love are analogous to the visible light spectrum that is available to humans. What you can see is indeed part of the totality of that spectrum, and considering that totality, that part that you can see with your eyes is an important part. If one were to eliminate those wavelengths, then the totality of light would be diminished. What you perceive is part of the whole, and without that part, the whole ceases to exist.

Other life-forms respond to other segments of this spectrum of light. Both animals and vegetation respond to light that you cannot see, but because you cannot see all kinds of light does not mean that light does not exist. Because you cannot see all kinds of love equally does not mean that other kinds of love cease to exist.

The God that you pray to, that you acknowledge, is a God whose love is far beyond what human heart vision can see, but it is very real, and it has an impact on all lives. We speak so often of the connection between your soul and God’s presence, and we emphasize the permanence of your soul and the journey of your soul from being loving to being all love. But much of that journey of becoming all love involves a kind of love, a kind of creative energy that is outside the understanding of human beings. It is outside the understanding of other life-forms. It is beyond the understanding of what you would consider not to be included as life-forms.

Yes, God is because you are. The spectrum of light exists in its totality because of that component of light that you can see. The spectrum of light is a complete entity of itself. It doesn’t just have a beginning and an ending point. There are forms of light beyond your awareness, and yet they exist. There are forms of love that are equally beyond your awareness, and yet they exist. You cannot reject what you don’t see. You cannot reject what you don’t feel. You cannot reject what you don’t know. You cannot reject love that you are not aware of. They exist beyond your awareness.

God’s presence among human beings exists and provides light that you cannot see, and yet that light helps illuminate your pathway. The light is an energy that draws your presence closer. It is not unlike the energy of magnets. You can see the impact of that energy, but you don’t see the energy itself with your eyes. You know it exists at some level, but that energy goes far beyond the knowledge that has accumulated through human effort.

God is energy. We say that energy is love, and we say that love is far more encompassing and embracing than what you know of. When you pray to be open to God’s energy, that energy is already present, and you are merely opening to a channel of communication between the core of spirit that lies within and the center of all that is which is God. You pray for strength. You then become open to that strength. You pray for healing as a balance, and that balancing energy is present for you to take in and absorb. Even when you are not aware of that presence, it is there.

Prayer is merely an opening. It is not a plea for God to act. It is your opening to find benefit from that component of love that is beyond your present understanding. Sometimes you pray for God’s presence, and only in hindsight do you recognize the reality of that presence. It was not seen or felt immediately, but as you look back, you find it unmistakably part of your life because you were open to that energy.

God cares, not in a human sense but in a far greater sense. God’s love is for all that exists, but the exercise of that love is not easily described in human terms. Nevertheless, it is there. God exists because you exist. You exist because God exists. Without human life, God’s presence, God’s reality, would be less than whole, for you are a part of that totality. Embrace that part of God that you occupy. Acknowledge that in reaching out in all forms of human love, you are fulfilling some of the reality that is God.

Also know and accept that there is a response between God’s presence and your soul that will be unrecognized by you. That response is the light coming through a window that has just been opened. The light was there all the time, but the window was closed. Opening the window does not command the light now to enter the room. The light enters the room because that is the natural behavior of light, and the act of opening the window, opening the shutters, allows that natural behavior to be brought in.

Opening your heart to God’s presence is the opening of that window. The presence, the loving presence, the caring, the embracing presence that is God is always with you. Open the shutters. Open your heart. Let your pathway be illuminated by a new light, by a renewed sense of loving presence.

We are with you always. We empower you to become more open, but the opening of the shutters to allow the light to do what light does is an act that you are capable of doing. It requires only a commitment to open your heart to allow yourself to be bathed in more light, allowing yourself to be open to the light of all others, and it is that light, the light from God, the light from all others that then serves as an illumination of your own life.

Accept the reality that there is a love beyond the human understanding of love. Accept the reality that God’s presence, that light, is already shining, is already warming, is already embracing. It is for you to throw open those shutters and welcome the renewed sense of loving light.

Amen.
