God surrounds your prayers and thoughts, your fears, your rejoicings with love and an enduring peace that responds to each of your individual needs. You are a part of a great reality, a creation that spans life as you know it and life that you cannot even imagine. God has created all that exists. God has formed life from the spirit and life for the spirit.

You wonder about life beyond the planet upon which you live. You wonder about your relationship to such life. The human life-form is a form with a relatively limited amount of spiritual awareness. There are other forms of life in which awareness is strong and constant. This is not to say that in some way or another human life is inferior. It is certainly not, but every life-form carries with it the potential of which we have spoken. Every life-form carries spiritual gifts that are available for the specific needs of that form. The lifestyle, the life characteristic associated with another form carries with it very different potentials, very different lessons.

The human life-form is not currently aware of the importance and reality of a spirit-oriented life existing elsewhere. You as human beings have a connection with these other life-forms, but this connection is not sensed in the way that you would normally become aware of such presence. There are life-forms who are directly connected to your life in a conscious way for them. Their means of communication is solely through a loving thought process. The result of that process you are aware of often when you acknowledge sudden insight and unexplained experience of great peace or a heightened awareness of something around you. That peace, that change in your consciousness, is the result of an interaction that is complicated but that incorporates your own spirit center, another life-form and God.

What we are saying is that there are forms of life created by God for the purpose of spiritual growth who are keenly aware of you as individuals and as groups. That awareness can be likened to your thought process that sees you in another location. It takes little effort for any of you to imagine yourself somewhere else. You can be there in a flash, in a moment, and yet you remain firmly grounded where you are physically. That type of thought is actually a kind of communication which exists among other forms of God’s creation. These forms are aware of God as you are aware, but these forms are aware of you and other soul-filled creations. Just as you are able to turn your thought to another individual in a moment when that individual may not be thinking of you, so it is with your interaction with some life-forms of God’s creation. Their thoughts, their consciousness, their loving presence have an impact upon you, but you fail to be aware of that presence.

It is not your duty, it is not your lesson in life to become strongly aware of that presence, but it may help you to understand the vastness of what is included in creation if you are at least aware that what God has created is beyond your current vision. Science can take humans up to a particular point of understanding, but there is a vast reality beyond your ability to see. Nevertheless, there are those brief moments when you become aware that there is something beyond your own experience that has had an impact.

Your soul, your spirit center, has such an impact upon each of you, but the soul is not the single guardian that transmits the living presence of the Creator. The soul that you retain within is connected to the guides, the soul is connected to God, but the soul is also connected to other souls. These are souls who have experienced human life. These are souls who have experienced life beyond the human form. The network, if you wish to think of it as such, is vast. It is beyond your imagination, but you are in no way separated from that vastness.

The question was posed if there is such life elsewhere that contains spirit, what is your responsibility? Your responsibility is to be open. Your responsibility is to be receptive. You are asked to live with a heart that is open—open to those around you, open to the potential that belongs to all God has created.

You sometimes wonder where major new discoveries in science or other disciplines come from. Your spirit center, your soul, is not responsible for your sudden insight into a new discipline. Your soul is responsible for being a connection that reflects God’s loving presence and focusing that presence. But sudden insights are not coincidental. They come in moments when you allow yourselves to be receptive, to be vulnerable to new ideas, to new approaches, to greater understanding. The source for much of that seemingly unexplainable insight is from another life-form. Some life-forms serve as kind of teachers. There are entities filled with spirit whose lives are devoted to serving others, elevating others, to affirming. These forms are inhabited by spirits who have experienced and learned from their human lives, and such incarnation becomes an integral part of their ultimate unity with the single source of absolute love, God.

There is little then that needs to be of concern for you in terms of your relationships to life-forms that may exist beyond your own physical surroundings. Remaining open and receptive to what is good, what affirms, what supports, what encourages, what inspires is of most value.

The question of flow was raised. What does it mean to find yourself in a kind of flow, a sense of absolute ease and sureness of direction in whatever you may be engaged? This “flow” as you call it is a synchronicity with your soul, with your guides, a momentary blending of your own existence with the totality of creation. It is a kind of interface or interconnection or intersection of your awareness and another level of God’s creation. Those moments when you feel great harmony and inner peace may be seldom, but they are indeed experienced by everyone, whether child or adult.

When you pray for peace, when you seek that inner peace, when you seek a condition that is namely in this flow, you are really praying for, seeking for the ultimate reality of the unity you share with all that is created, for turmoil is caused by being out of balance with creation. Peace is moving sympathetically within the realm of all that is. You must always seek harmony—harmony among those with whom you work and live, harmony in your thoughts, harmony in your emotions. It is true, human life is not designed to be free of conflict, but you know conflict can be seen as a means of growth. Harmony is accepting the necessity for that growth and the validity of the means.

You live your lives in a constant struggle between harmony and discord, between consonance and dissonance, between peace and turmoil, between joy and sadness, between pleasure and anger. The list of seeming opposites is nearly endless, but these experiences which seem so polarized one from another actually belong together, for both are needed in your own growth. You cannot be surrounded by darkness one hundred percent of the time and have any belief in the reality of light. You cannot be surrounded one hundred percent of the time by light and imagine such a thing as darkness, but by experiencing the dark you recognize the light. By experiencing light, you recognize the dark, and in this process your vision is broadened and deepened.

If you are surrounded by others with whom you are in constant agreement, you do not learn what it means to compromise. If you are constantly surrounded by strife, you have no way of understanding what it means to have something to hope for, for you are not aware that there is anything else. All of these seeming opposites therefore belong. They are a part of your life, and your moments of recognizing a kind of spiritual flow takes place when you become aware of a third dimension, one that neither provides joy nor sadness but something that elevates you in a seemingly unexplainable manner to an entirely new awareness, an entirely new level of life.

Each of you has opportunities that you refer to as peak experiences. You look upon those moments with great pleasure. They provide you with joy, but in themselves they are more than something to provide joy. They are a glimpse of what is really permanent in God’s creation. You catch a moment’s glimpse of that permanence. You are given a view that transcends your own life experiences.

Human life is not unique in the sense of God’s creation, but human experience is one form of energy and there are many forms. You should relish those opportunities that are given to you to learn to grow, to be challenged, to be tested, to be inspired. All of these are important and it is because of these that your soul finds comfort within your own human life.

Yes, the soul is comforted by your life just as you are comforted by your awareness of spirit. You must welcome that awareness. You must strive to be open, be open to the potential to learn, to discover, to grow, to serve, to give, to uphold, to affirm. That is what is offered when you live surrounded by your awareness of spirit. Be ready to accept that human life is not the only house of the spirit. You are part of a vast creation that is formed out of pure love, and it is to that love that all return.

You are blessed. All are blessed because all share the same origin of the Creator, by whatever name one wishes to identify that power. Rejoice in your being thankful. Rejoice in your challenges! Rejoice in those moments of love! Rejoice in those brief encounters with an awareness that goes far beyond your ability to see and to know!
