• Soul growth on the path to becoming pure love
• You have existed spiritually in other forms
• Spirit is energy that expands
God, who is the author of the story of life, of life itself, and all that is included in that reality, gives strength to all who seek it and to all who have no conscious desire to welcome it. Not all forms of life, as you clearly know, have a conscious awareness of God or some kind of spiritual, energetic, loving center by whatever name might be offered. But although not being aware of God, not being aware of or even interested in our presence in your life as guides, as guardian angels, the reality of God’s presence is constant.
You do not need to know God as a requirement to grow in spirit. The growth of your soul belongs to the reality of its very being. We could say that you grow in large part in spite of what you do. The body needs nourishment, of course, but at some level the body continues to move forward in its natural changes.
There is an activity of the human body that is independent of your awareness. This is precisely what we speak of when we say your spirit grows in spite of a lack of awareness of its existence, because that is what spirit does. Spirit grows. Your soul evolves. Movement toward becoming all love is unstoppable. It continues no matter what you may do. There is nothing that stops the spirit on its journey.
You may ask, therefore, what is the purpose of human life if your spirit is growing regardless of that human life? It is important to distinguish between growth taking place and the expansiveness of that growth. Yes, the spirit grows, but when human beings turn their attention toward the importance of that growth, the growth is enhanced, becomes broader. That breadth of growth can be understood as an application of that growth. The growth takes place in whatever circumstances may exist, but it is through the support of an open heart that the strengthening of that growth takes place. The widening of its understanding becomes an important part of its presence.
When spirits or souls join our plane of life, they arrive with many different levels of understanding. Some souls contain a sacred energy that is recognized by us as an enormous light filled with the energies that have been accumulated through many experiences and are expressed with great love. Other souls arrive with a sense of uncertainty and surprise at the love that surrounds them, but those souls still must gain in their capacities to being loving.
The path to becoming loving and ultimately becoming pure love is different for all souls because their experience accompanying knowing life-forms, as we have defined them, have such different layers of expression. Being a knowing life-form means having the capability of knowing something of the unifying, creative force that connects all. We speak here of the capacity for such recognition, not necessarily the achievement of it. One can easily be a knowing life-form that has never thought much about the reality of the Spirit Center. Souls whose experience has been in some way limited will find that their growth has also been somewhat limited, and there is, therefore, much to learn, much to experience.
For those human beings who are consciously engaged in the search for an understanding of God, understand also that the soul grows through the searching. You, in your own way, search for God’s presence through your heart vision. Even when you may often question where God is in a certain situation, the fact that you ask that question means that you are at the very least aware that there may be a loving presence that embraces all. But if you never ask the question because you are never engaged in a search, the soul still grows.
All souls reach a particular level of loving understanding that allows them to become only love. There is no timetable. There is no expectation that such a reaching of the goal of being love must be done through a specific identifiable goal in a given frame of time. All souls are unique and equal.
Because you are engaged in the search, you are fortunate that the spirit that accompanies your journey expands in loving energy in a very broad way whereby that love is expressed toward many in varying situations. All human beings are challenged to find pathways for growth that enhance the natural energy of spirit.
What is love if it is not shared? What is love if it is not offered? The capacity for that love is always present but not always exercised. If there is a central theme to all these Messages and all such communications experienced by many others, it is the primacy of love being offered. It is in offering that love that judgment is lessened. In human life, you will never be freed totally from the process of judgment toward others, but that also means that human lives can always reduce that judgment and replace that effort with an expression of love. It is that expression that provides the breadth of spiritual growth, and in turn, as the spirit expands and becomes stronger and more capable of being loving, that strength characterizes more and more the interaction of human beings to others, to the environment, to the earth.
Love, as we have explained in the past, is akin to light, a light that is shared, and in the sharing of that light, the light of another is rekindled, is strengthened, is empowered to carry that light outward. All of this depends on a broadening of spiritual strength.
When you ask about becoming a stronger presence of God in the world, always pray for the strength of spirit. You are then praying for what we refer to as heart vision, for heart vision really is the representation of spiritual strength. As your heart vision widens, as you become more aware of the unity of all, it is your broadening spiritual strength that is providing that vision. It is your soul that recognizes more powerfully the energy of another. To become more of God’s presence, you must embrace and encourage and acknowledge that spark of God’s reality that resides within you and with all people. That is the unity we speak of so often.
When we affirm to you that you are surrounded by your guides, by the guides and spirits of all you have known and loved as well as those whom you know nothing of, those spirits are with us with their own pathway of heart vision. Not all spirits serve as guides. Those of us who are guides have spirits that are broadened, especially through the connection with knowing beings. Many of us have grown through our connection with humans, but there are also many whose heart vision has been expanded through connection with other knowing life-forms that are not what you would characterize as human. These knowing lives exist with you and elsewhere. Their senses provide a physical vision of a small part of what exists. You are accompanied by us, but you are also accompanied by other knowing life-forms.
We have spoken of other universes with other knowing life-forms. The human experience is what you are aware of now, but you have existed spiritually in other forms, and you will continue to live. You will continue to grow. You will continue to expand in your abilities to reflect the creative, loving Spirit Center that you call God. Your growth as spiritual entities did not begin in human life, and that growth will not cease at the end of human life.
You often pray for the benefit of spirits who have joined us who you know through the human beings they were connected to. Each of those for whom you pray continues to expand. Each spirit continues to grow for the spirit is an energy. It is an energy analogous to light, and light always moves outward. The spirit, the presence of that energy, always expands. It is this expansion, this heart vision, that you can experience in human life. It is so important for you to nurture what is indeed eternal.
You have been taught that the spirit lives on even when the body doesn’t, and that is of course true. But more importantly, it isn’t that the spirit lives on but rather that the spirit continues to expand, and that expansion is enhanced through your acknowledgment of its presence. It is through your acknowledgment and how that is expressed that you become more fully part of God’s presence in the world, God’s presence in the lives of others that you serve, that you reach out to, that you support, that you encourage, that you affirm, that you love.
Human life is sacred because of this connection to spirit. It is not an accident of nature. It is part of its totality, and you belong to that totality.
We have often asserted that God exists because you exist, and you exist because God exists. It is this expansion of spirit, it is this exercise of being loving that gives true meaning to the reality of God and your position within that reality. You are asked not to be judgmental because in being nonjudgmental you provide space to be more loving. It does not mean that you uphold someone who has done great harm and say they are wonderful people. Rather it is upholding that person and affirming they are part of God, and they are a part that is expanding, that is evolving, and that is moving in its own way toward becoming love.
Being nonjudgmental does not mean refusing to acknowledge what works against the affirmation of others. It means instead acknowledging that they are on their own pathways, and those pathways are guided. Those pathways are filled with opportunities for expansion, and those persons contain a spirit that is moving toward love, and that spirit is growing as it can grow with no expectation of such achievements being reached in a prescribed manner.
All are growing. All are expanding. All are growing and expanding differently. It is in acknowledging that reality that you are reflecting God’s presence, for in acknowledging that reality, you cannot sit in judgment of the value of another. Having an open heart, a vision filled with love, is an expression of allowing the spirit within to expand. That expansion is only in the capacity to be loving. That is the only expansion of value, for in the experience of being loving, you are being and seeing God’s presence.
We bless you as you are God’s presence. We bless you as you see God’s presence. You are blessed as you allow your spirit to soar, to expand. You are blessed merely in your seeking God. You are blessed in that acknowledgment despite questions, despite challenges that might prompt you to ask, “Where is God in all of this?”
Where is God? God is with you. God is with others. God is seen in their service. God is seen in your service. Open your heart vision. Be curious, be intent to see God in all things.
Amen.
