Inspired Wisdom For Your Life

BACK TO INDEX

April 14, 2014

• Becoming more loving, more vulnerable

• The soul has no shape, no boundary

• All spirits know each other

• You are God

God joins your hands and hearts together. You are joined in all ways to one another, for what you are experiencing is the freedom to express, freedom to listen, the freedom to be. It is not a freedom from concerns. It is not a freedom that just creates life without its challenges, but rather a freedom that is an essential part of your current journeys as you become more loving, more vulnerable. You are each given lives for that dual purpose, and your paths are intersecting at the moment.

This intersection, this opportunity of sharing in your growth, is not by accident or chance, nor is it by some preordained destiny, for life is not governed by destiny. When there is a sense of destiny, there is a sense of deserving or being punished. You are not brought together, therefore, as an expression of the karma you share.

You are brought together simply because your spirits are engaged on paths that ultimately lead to the same objectives. Each spirit has its own reason for experiencing human life, but regardless of the specifics of those reasons, the purposes for which you experience life are essentially built around the need for others. You share a common place in your growth for the simple reason that you share common objectives.

Every human being grows at an individual pace. It is much like people running together, not racing, but running. Some move faster, others move slower. Those that begin the run at a fast pace may slow down, and in slowing down, have exchanges with others who are engaged in the same run, but who earlier were located differently with respect to others.

You are all engaged in the run. You are all heading ultimately in the same direction. How you get there, the speed with which you arrive at your destination will vary from individual to individual. Your life experiences are always characterized by achievements and setbacks, always characterized by moments of joy and moments of despair. You don’t run through your lives at the same speed for its entirety.

You therefore are joined in this group because of the intersection of your paths being a natural progression of the spirit. There is another connection that you have of which you have occasionally spoken, namely that each of you has been in contact with one another prior to your gathering as a group. Your souls know one another. If you consider the run, and you find yourself next to someone else, (in this case that someone else is someone you know), and you strike up a conversation, and you share your thoughts. In effect, all groups are put together or are assembled with spirits that share a common purpose, some kind of familiarity. This is true of all human beings.

Humans flourish most effectively in communion with others. Yes, there are those whose journey may be characterized by a fulfillment in isolation, but that isolation is only in appearance, for there are actually communities of individuals who are committed to the value and strength of isolation. There is a common thread that joins even those.

What we are saying is that no one truly lives alone. No one is fully isolated. No one exists with a perspective that is not shared by anyone else. There are groups who are motivated in their careers to share with one another. There are those who are motivated to share through the spirit search for truth. There are countless threads that can be seen as joining what on the surface would be disparate elements.

Sometimes you observe friendships from a distance, and you ask how that person can have such a friendship with that other person, for in your view, there is no unity. You see only what is different and not what is shared. But for those relationships that you observe and cannot understand, it is important to recognize that there is a bond that unites, a bond that connects. It is not a bond that others need to either acknowledge or affirm. Acknowledgment and affirmation are not essential.

Every group, as we have said, is comprised of individuals with their own paths, but there still is a connection that is important to accept, even when it is not evident. Human life is about relationships. It is about what is shared. It is not based upon measured differences. All groups somehow feel that shared connection, but it is also important to recognize that that connection that is felt can be experienced by others as exclusivity. The truth is, every individual shares a thread of unity with every other individual. It is just that some of those threads are more apparent than others. Therefore, you strike up the conversation of the spirit. You strike up a conversation of the goal that is sought or the interest that is held in common.

We say that your souls have known one another in one form or another before you were gathered. But we also say that you do know a part of all human beings, for the soul is not defined by boundaries. Your own souls are not identified and defined in very specific ways. The soul has no shape. The soul has no boundary. The soul is a collection of power, of light, of energy, a collection of elements that are love. Try to define, try to delineate the boundaries of what love is, and you will soon realize that such search is futile. The expression “love has no boundaries” is used so often, for we talk about unconditional love, but love truly has no boundaries just as light has no real defining boundary. You can filter light, you can limit it in one way or another, but its natural state is a state of motion, of energy. Light does not only point in single direction. Light is light. Love is love. It is a way of living. It is not one that can be characterized in some definite form.

It is the same as you consider your spirit. There is no defining edge where your spirit exists up to a point and then it is no longer yours, that other space belongs to another spirit. It simply does not happen. And therefore the soul of someone you have never met who lives on the opposite side of the planet is indeed connected to you and is not in some way defined as wholly unique. Energy has forms, and you have character to your spiritual energy, but that character interacts with all that exists, just as that drop of water interacts with the water around it. That teaspoon of water that is lowered into the ocean ceases to be a teaspoon of water. It is simply water.

Your spirits are as if you are water in the teaspoon in your physical lives. But in a more profound way and in an eternal way, your spirit is merely a blending with all that is around it. It is lowering the teaspoon into the ocean. It is part of the ocean. Your spirit is no different from the spirit of someone you have never met. Yes, there may be varying characteristics, just as that teaspoon of water may be very cold when placed into the ocean or very hot when placed into the ocean. But those differences become ultimately meaningless.

You know each other because all spirits know each other, and in your human lives you sense something that is in common with your particular pathways. That is true of all cultures, all societies, all friendships. What is a friendship other than a recognition of what is shared, however that may be defined? Each of you has something to share with every other human being that exists, but obviously your paths cannot intersect with all. Yet when that light becomes observed, that glow of recognition, then a friendship, relationship, is established. The only difference between those you call your friends and those you do not call your friends is one of recognition. You don’t recognize what you share among strangers, but if you acknowledge that that stranger and you do share something very significant, then there are grounds for extending your friendships to embrace what is not known, and in doing that, you are reaching out in a loving manner and are a direct reflection of the God that is within you.

is acknowledging

Relationships are important because they are exercises in acknowledging another. You live to acknowledge because you live to love. Acknowledgement of life

is an around you acknowledgment of God’s presence. So you see, you are connected to one another because you acknowledge a commonality. But you are in no way unique, for there is a commonality that is shared by you and all others, and it is for you to find that grounding of common purpose. In doing that, your paths do intersect, and your lives are given expanded meaning and great beauty.

that acknowledgment of

love, and

love

You give us a kind of joy because you acknowledge we exist. That acknowledgment of our existence is a loving of our existence and therefore a welcoming of our existence onto your pathway.

Continue to seek ways of acknowledging your connection with all others. Seek those bonds, and you will find the exchange of love. What is given and what is received will be enriching, life-producing, and will provide a meaning and greater understanding of the reality that God is and therefore you are, for you are God. You belong to what God is, and so do all. Find reason to rejoice as your acknowledgment of others and your love for others finds wings to fly.

You are blessed in your seeking. You are blessed as you grow. You are blessed in the flight of spirit that embraces those whom you feel you do not know. Be comforted as you embrace, and be comforted as you are embraced.

Amen.
