• Clear heart vision
It is your God, it is your Spirit Center, that provides the light for your pathway. We spoke at some length about the nature of light that we refer to for your benefit as colors, and we explained that the colors are not colors that you see or are described in any way as part of human experience, but rather the colors are forms of energy and presence. There is much in that sharing that bears further thought and consideration, but we would like to devote this moment with you to talk not so much about color but vision. We talk about seeing colors, your colors, as really components of energy and presence, and we would like to take that further and explain more about your own experience of vision, not vision through the eyes but rather vision through the heart.
Unlike the physical human experience of vision which is dependent upon many physical attributes functioning together in order for you to perceive the world around you as vision, we would like to explore more the mechanism, the implications for heart vision. What do we mean specifically when we speak about heart vision? That is a representative term but not a literal one. When we speak of heart, the first image that comes to mind is the physical heart, but we speak, of course, of a heart that is symbolic of what it means to be loving.
We could say your heart vision is in reality your current ability to act through love with no other intent. There is little that you can do for others that you can totally disassociate from an anticipation of its benefit for you. Think for a moment of the actions of many whether individuals, communities, or nations that are motivated in part out of a kind of guilt feeling. You do something for others because you feel you should be doing something. There is a sense of obligation. You do something because it is the right thing to do, and you understand the personal satisfaction of such actions. In those situations, you reach out in love because you know there is benefit to doing that for yourself.
Heart vision takes such expressions of love into a very different milieu in which you act purely through love. You act because you feel connected to another or to others. There is no sense of obligation or expectation. That heart vision is exercised because it is a natural byproduct of the loving care, the loving regard, you give another or others. Heart vision is totally unrelated to the giver. All energies, all motivations are directed only outward.
That is not to say you cannot have heart vision about your own needs. That is very different. You respond to your needs not out of selfishness and self-absorption but rather because you feel it is best for your spirit, and you are reaching inward to your own soul and your understanding of the soul’s needs. Certainly, you can pray for your own health, for example, for those are your needs, but health ultimately, as we have explained, is about balance. When there is inner balance, balance built around the spirit, the attractions and distractions of matters outside of the spirit take on much less significance, and you begin to realize that you are a vessel for your soul. That is all that matters.
Heart vision when directed inward nurtures the soul and is less focused on your own perceived inadequacies or imbalances. Viewing others with a clear heart vision means viewing others only as a manifestation of their own spirit center. That manifestation is a human manifestation and in that regard will always be imperfect. Your life will never fully reflect your current understanding of God’s presence. At best, your life is an attempt to refine and express that understanding.
When your heart vision is directed to others, be they religious or societal units, you are acknowledging their total equality. You are reaching out as a consequence of that acknowledgment. It is not a reaching out as a duty. Heart vision is, therefore, a totally natural exchange of energies, not contrived, not exchanged through obligation or duty, not exchanged from the open pit of guilt that can only widen and deepen. It is an exchange that is freely offered as a natural response to the loving acceptance of something beyond yourself.
As was reflected earlier, it is natural to feel affirmed when one reaches out according to one’s understanding of God, but what is essential is that that outreach is done with no expectations. There is no conscious thinking that if I do this which I should be doing, I will then feel better about myself, for in taking that position, you are placing yourself above the importance of another, and you are using your response as a means of self-affirmation. Seeing with heart vision never brings into account whatever personal benefit may be received. Seeing with heart vision is addressing your energies only outward. What is important is what is being offered. It is not who is offering it. Heart vision, therefore, is a natural expression, a natural response, to a loving countenance directed outward. It is what it is because there is a spiritual love that is present and total.
Think back in your own life to when others have reached out to you through their own heart vision. It was clear upon your own reflection that there was no sense of what another might gain from such loving actions. You felt you were affirmed. You felt embraced spiritually. You felt a kind of kinship with another who acted through their own heart vision.
You speak about wanting to expand love, wanting to expand peace, wanting to expand justice. All of that is possible but first comes the necessity of embracing in spirit your offering of love. That gift of nonjudgmental love is a gift of spirit, and when it is offered without obligation, without feeling that it is being offered because that is the right thing to do, only then are you serving effectively as God’s illuminating light on the life of another.
We always urge you to pray for greater heart vision, but we can also say that in any full life, the opportunities to offer your presence to others is only the beginning of a process, and it is infrequent at best. With our description of heart vision, we do not want to imply that it is wrong to reach out to others with the knowledge that you also benefit, for you are reaching out. You are giving value to another. You are affirming another’s life. You are affirming another’s presence, and that is all good, but it is not true heart vision.
Our prayers are that in your experiencing life in human form, you will experience also the reality of reaching out with a clear heart vision. The challenge is great. The difficulty is enormous, but what is important here is your awareness of what such interaction with others can truly be. It is in that outreach of heart vision that God’s real purpose is being given light and strength. You should never feel guilty about the difficulty of outreach without expectation, for you are human, but as your guides we lovingly share with you a goal of spirit life, a goal of life as a spirit.
In a world that is perfect, all human beings would behave toward one another with clear heart vision, but heart vision is not part of the daily tools of living as a human being. Suffice it to know in your core that there is such an entity as total and complete, nonjudgmental love. It is a goal for you, but it is by no means an expectation that such vision dominates your life at every moment and in total fullness.
It is sufficient for you to understand more of how we see you and how we impact your life. We see you with our heart vision. We recognize who you are through our heart vision. What you are is not important. It is only who you are, for it is the who that is the true spirit energy. It is what gives your life meaning. To the extent that you experience moments of clear heart vision, your human life is fulfilled. It is easy for us to say to love nonjudgmentally, but that is the most difficult task anyone will ever confront. Because of its difficulty, it does not mean it is out of your reach, but experiencing nonjudgmental love even once from a personal perspective of giving is rare. You can find evidence of nonjudgmental love being offered to you. It is in the receiving of that love that you truly learn of its power.
We have stated in the past that first you must experience what it means to be loved in order to grow in your capacity to be loving. It is our prayer that the depth of purpose behind that statement has more impact, has greater clarity for you.
You are not judged by God. You are loved but loved in a way that is not offered because God hears your plea or because God feels there is a need to reach out. Certainly, the source of all love that you identify as God does not feel affirmed because of that nonjudgmental love. You are loved for the very simple reason that you are, that you exist. There is no better reason. There are no conditions to be met. There are no levels of achievement to be reached to deserve that love. That love is simply there. It is what God is.
We say to you often that the goal of human life is to become more loving, and that all paths of spiritual life come together in a single goal in which all people are not just loving but become love itself. You become all that God is because you are a part of God. This process in human form is merely a process. It is merely a pathway. It is not a requirement that you must reach a level of love before moving on. The desire to be loving when it is offered without expectations, without conditions, without a sense of self is the most worthy objective any human being can aspire to experience.
In the midst of such chaos that you are aware of so poignantly, it is easy to forget the true meaning and application of heart vision. It is a goal to seek, for in the journey of seeking, your understanding of the reality of nonjudgmental love increases and widens. Find ways of encountering what concerns you with a heart vision that goes far beyond what is seen, heard, and felt.
Embrace the spirit of another even without embracing their actions. Embrace the full spirit of all societies, all nations. Find ways of diminishing an understanding of who others may be because of the clouds of what they may be. We love you for who you are and not what you are. Reach out to the world beyond you and reaffirm the who. Allow the what to diminish in importance, and in so doing, your heart vision will become clearer.
We experience you through our heart vision and may that serve to help clear your own vision going forward. Be guided in your vision by the light that is with you at all times.
Amen.
