God is with each of you and is a part of all life, animate and inanimate. As we have said before, there is nothing which occurs in the world, in the universe, that is not within the company of God. The relationships which you speak of are an essential part of your experiences as humans. The importance of these relationships must be recognized as going beyond that of one being toward another. It must ultimately encompass all of creation. Nature is equally important to life. Slowly but steadily humankind is beginning to become sensitized to the value of the environment and the interrelationship of humans with the environment.

Your lives are intimately connected with all that has been created. Stones, for example, contain minerals, many of which are the same as the minerals which form building blocks for human life. A stone is not a worthless bit of matter. It is, rather, evidence of materials which form a part of your own lives. There is nothing that exists that is totally unrelated to you or that is unimportant to you. You grow and develop through your understanding of the broadened relationships which form a part of all life. It requires a reverence for creation. That is the foundation. From a reverence for creation it is an easy jump to have reverence for all human life.

When you recognize the importance of human life, you are more attuned to experiencing flashes of light which illuminate human relationships. That experience is closely akin to what we experience constantly on our plane of life. We see through God's illumination the depth and beauty of another's soul, for that is all there is to see. There is no body, there is only spirit, there is only soul. And that is how we relate. The warmth, the comfort which results is the reward of a relationship between two souls, and it is what makes life meaningful for you.

Each of you has had some experience where you felt extremely close to another. That closeness could be long lasting; it could be fleeting. But perhaps for only a moment you were fully aware of the spiritual light of another human being. To seek further opportunities is a worthy goal, but not all relationships will lead to that level. To live your lives in human form, you will swing in and out of the illuminated room of God's presence, and that is natural. What is important above all is to recognize those moments when the illumination is brilliant and warm and comforting in its presence.

Reflect upon your own lives and search out those moments when you have been drawn particularly close to another and felt that unconditional acceptance and warmth. This is really the light that we describe so often when we speak of God's light. For us it is visual, but it is also something felt, not just seen. We describe it as a light because the concept of light has so much meaning in human life. For it is light which conquers the fears of darkness; it is light which gives warmth that has been deprived in darkness; it is light that presents a view of what is ahead as well as what has been past that cannot be seen clearly in the darkness. The use of light as a term, as a concept, is indeed appropriate. Your guides work to help you become more open, more responsive to that kind of light in your lives that you may experience the joy, the exhilaration, the warmth that come from being in that presence.

For those who suffer in health in the later stages of their lives, there is frequently a question of whether there is a vision of light as we speak of it. To the extent that your relationships with those who are deprived of normal senses are warm and loving, then you are providing light for another, but not only does the other benefit from your presence, you benefit from your own giving of love and of light. Your souls grow as you reach out toward another. It is not important whether another is consciously aware of all details relating to your presence. That is relatively unimportant. The benefits to each soul are achieved when one gives to another. It is as simple as that.

You all are giving, whether to one another or to others outside of this group, and you are thereby growing as a product of that giving. We see that growth. We rejoice in it, and it is your growth which helps to strengthen our own spiritual journeys. We benefit by your growth as you benefit by our giving. It is a blessed relationship, one which we cherish, and one which you should also value and seek out as often as possible.

Our love for you is God's love for you. Our giving for your growth is God's giving for your growth. Our comfort is God's comfort. Our peace is God's peace. We are all connected to one another through the outflowing of God's brilliant light. We invite you to bask in that light as we do, in God’s holy name.
