• “Old souls” or “young souls” are not about age but maturity

• A lot about light

• Knowing beings with souls exist elsewhere

• Everything affects everything else

• A thought is energy that is never lost

• Like attracts like

• The strongest energy is the quietest

• No chance meetings between strangers

• The Light of All That Is is with each of you and with all of you.

Your spirits are entities that exist in themselves but also are a part of a massive collective of the souls of every knowing being that has existed, exists, and shall exist. Each of these knowing beings consists of a knowing and loving spirit, guided by a knowing and loving presence.

No souls are destroyed. No souls are actually newly created. There are only souls who have learned much and souls who have learned less. You sometimes refer to “old souls” or “young souls.” Such descriptors have nothing to do with age and everything to do with knowledge, development, a kind of spiritual maturity. There are no young souls or old souls, for all souls have existed. All souls are part of a created Light that is pure love, and that loving Light never had a beginning, for what could exist prior to that loving Light? How could that loving Light be created if nothing had existed beforehand?

As we have so often declared, in truth, time does not really exist. All is in the now, and the now has always been. The present is always in existence. Human beings speak of the past and the future, but those are all part of the same circle of what is. Your souls exist. They exist because they are a part of God. Human lives and the natural world are a part of God. Knowing entities, knowing beings, that exist elsewhere in creation outside of your sense of Earth, beyond your perception of the universe, have always existed. Your experience as human beings is only one of your experiences as souls. Your soul brings an insight that encompasses the human experience and yet extends far beyond, and it is the wisdom, the experience of that broader existence, that helps to provide each of you with insight into your own experience.

Yes, of course your souls grow. They become deeper. Their knowledge becomes more caring, more loving, more reflective of their Source. The strength of their reflection varies from one to another, but all reflect as they can reflect. Your strength as human beings differs from all others, but the fact is you are all responding. You are all reacting. You are all growing. You are all gaining insight. You are all impacting life around you. That impact may be positive. It may not be, but each of you in your own way creates a ripple in this spiritual tapestry of motion, of light, of energy, of love. Anything you do, anything you think, the words that you speak all have an impact on everything else.

You as a species are beginning to learn of your impact on life as it exists on your own planet. There is much discussion about the intensity of that impact, but it is clear the impact exists. We are here also to emphasize that you have an impact not only on the physical elements of life on Earth but also on the presence of the light of all spirits.

Every soul has a kind of light, of which we have spoken. For each soul, that light is unique. It is a kind of energy signal that each of you possesses, and that energy that is you, that is your soul, impacts the energy of Spirit that exists throughout all of God, all of creation. You may not think you have an impact on the stars you see in the night sky, for those bodies are at such a great distance, as you measure it, from your own sense of location, but indeed you do have an impact. Energy is never lost. Energy radiates in all directions. The energy that is you radiates down and up and all directions to the side. That energy is never destroyed. It will be by necessity transformed, but it is never lost.

Your thoughts are a form of energy, and those thoughts that you have are never lost. As you might say, your thoughts go out. They are sent forward physically, and that energy continues and continues. The energy that you possess might not be readily identified by whatever means at hand, but it is nevertheless always present.

We mention frequently that you are connected to one another. You can think of these connections as strands of energy. None of you exists totally isolated from anything or anyone. You exist on so many levels. Each of these levels has its own light, its own radiance, its own way of being identified.

You experience joy; you experience fear and anxiety. You experience being loving; you experience being loved. You experience judging and being judged. You experience faith; you experience doubt. You experience a view of God for a moment; you experience a sense of being separated from God. Each of these carries its own kind of energy. This energy radiates outward and is combined at times with light energy. When you express love to another, and the other also expresses love, a combined energy of that love exceeds the individual energy that is offered, and so that energy of love is stronger and more resilient. When you experience anger, you will find others who share the same anger, and the energy of those two will be combined and strengthened. You know the expression of like attracts like. Light finds its own. Light seeks its own. Love finds love; hate finds others who hate. Hope finds others who hope; faith finds others with faith.

Part of the human experience is this seeking and finding of like energies. Some energies are stronger than others, even though they may appear weaker. You are all so aware of what it means to observe collective anger. You have all seen what it means to share collective guilt. You have all experienced the strength of being part of a collective love that reaches out and supports, that provides a brilliant light that draws others nearby and far away. The strength of love seems at times to be less forceful than the strengths of anger, for anger is often expressed with loud voices. When the deepest love of giving is expressed with the silent voice of the heart, to the outsider, therefore, the anger seems stronger than the love.

We, who are your guides, see the colors of so many of these layers, and we can affirm the truth that the strongest energy of all turns out to be the quietest of all. It is the love that is offered unselfishly. It is the love that is offered oftentimes by just listening. There is no quieter energy than the silence of listening. Prayer is sometimes silent, but prayer can often be loud. Prayer can often be characterized by hate. Such prayer is given out as a way of crying out for something that is felt to be of great need. That need may be divisive or unified, but when you listen with a spirit of wanting to hear not what is said but what is meant, the listening is in silence. It is in peace. It is in acceptance. It is offered purely through openness. When you listen to others, you are blessing others by affirming their validity, their reason for being. If you tell someone they’re important, that may appeal to ego, to vanity, but if you sit and listen as one shares, they know that they are being affirmed, that they have value. They may not know of your agreement or disagreement, but they know that they are being heard and are therefore valued. That quiet presence of listening is an enormously powerful source of energy. It is part of what it means to be fully loving. It is the brightest of the lights that we see that are created by the many layers of human life and all-knowing Life. If you wish to be loving, it is a wish to be present, to be listening.

Your human lives are experienced by us as these many layers of light, these many ways of emanating energy. The energy that we see is therefore unending. When you offer the energy of love, you are not the source of that love. You are the channel of that love. It is the love of that Center of Spirit, the love of God, that is working with you and through you.

We spoke the last time of service. The service of love is a service of reflection, reflection of the love you’ve received, reflection of the love of another’s spirit. For all human beings that you encounter, there is an interaction of your souls. You come upon some total stranger on the street, but that encounter is never empty, for you are aware of that stranger and that stranger is aware of you. You bring to that encounter something of your experience as human beings, but you also bring to that encounter your experiences as a soul entity. You may not be aware of that spiritual presence in another, and the other may have no understanding for your spirit presence, but the two souls do engage even momentarily. They do share a light. They do share energy. They do communicate.

There is no chance meeting between strangers. Consider for a moment your own life experiences that brought you to that particular location at that moment, and consider that there are equally telling life experiences that another brings to that encounter. So, your lives for a moment coincide. Your paths for a moment share a common light, a common energy, and then those paths go their separate ways, but the encounter has been achieved. Your soul benefits from the spirit of another, and that spirit benefits from your own soul.

When you run across others unexpectedly, allow yourselves to think about that encounter far more profoundly than just seeing a stranger and walking past. You share life. You share light. Each of you shares in the experience of energy, energy that has always existed and yet can be transformed, deepened, made more vibrant just in the encounter.

We urge you to seek out opportunities for those who search for all that characterizes your own search. When you seek peace, be open to others who seek the same peace. The experience of seeking together the common goal with similar understandings strengthens God’s light for all. This doesn’t mean to avoid encounters with those whose wishes are other than yours, but rather to welcome and embrace all those who wish to explore and express their own perceptions of all things good, all that is loving, all that is the light of spirit.

You are blessed in that light. You are blessed in your searching. You are blessed in all the layers of light that make up your own spiritual component from all that is infinitely present. Let that light grow. Let it dominate in its dedication to the true meaning of love. Let it acknowledge its permanence. Let it always acknowledge its indestructible reality.

You, each of you, is God’s light.
