• In death, all is cast away except the love given and received during human life

The love of God and the combined love of each of your guides strengthens and illuminates your gathering together.

We have spoken so much about relationships, relationships with others and relationships to your inner selves. In order to more effectively put into practice what has been shared with you, it seems especially appropriate to share our experiences from our side, what life has become for us. When we do so, you will understand more fully your placement within the continuous development of God's total creation. It is not meant to provide all answers that are ever necessary, but to give you a clearer view of what we see on our side of spiritual living.

Each of us, as you know, once experienced human life. Some of us have experienced multiple human lives. The number of these experiences is not so important. What is important is that we lived as you live, and that you shall live as we live. It is a complete circle. You experience the emotions characteristic of human life, and we experience emotions which are closely related to those we experienced as human beings. In the early stages in our plane of living, it is sometimes difficult to clearly recognize that life has changed, that it has taken on a new dimension.

It cannot be said that each of us completed our human lives in full awareness of the potential and value of spiritual growth. We all entered this new level with different experiences, and as a result we are aware of the differences of souls. Despite that awareness, we are fully committed to the recognition that those differences, while visible to us, are in fact of no importance. They are there because life's experiences were different, but they are unimportant because of the eternal nature of the spirit. Those experiences in human form are so temporal, whereas what we experience in our lives is indeed eternal. We therefore recognize our differences between one another, but we relate to one another only through what is common and what is commonly shared.

Each of us knows what love is and the many varieties of love, but despite the different types of love, one can say that all affirm the value of another in some manner. So we affirm one another's strength, we affirm one another's beauty of soul. The colors that are radiated by each soul are affirmed—they are recognized, they are responded to. Indeed we really acknowledge one another on the basis of our radiating spiritual light. The lights are bright, colorful, creating hues far more brilliant and varied than what you have experienced. Since each individual soul brings with it different experiences, each has its own individual color. But when we are all united in a group at such times as when you are gathered together, the differences in our colors are not especially important. What is seen is the combined radiance generated by all of us, and that radiance far exceeds anything you can imagine in brilliance and beauty.

When other groups are united as you are, their guides also emit great light, but their lights will be different from ours, and yet despite those differences, all radiate. As we grow in our acceptance of all things spiritual, the differences in light are almost invisible, and we become more aware of the importance of the collective light. What becomes all-empowering then is the combination of light rather than the view of an assembly of individual lights. The joined radiation is so much more powerful.

Each of us works consciously to strengthen the lights emitted by others. That can only be achieved when we support others with our love. One cannot increase the radiation of another soul merely by concentrating on the colors of one's own soul. It is required that each of us reach outward. For you, living not alone with love but in communion with others through love, you're strengthened, your lives take on more meaning, and the value of the human existence is enhanced.

We develop from one stage or sphere of existence to another. That sphere is differentiated by the clarity of our spiritual lights. It is not differentiated by physical location, for there is no physical location. We are at once with all who develop to the highest levels of spiritual strength, and with those who are considerably less developed. There is no separation, there is only a difference of vision. When you are at a higher elevation, you see more broadly across the terrain, you are more aware of what lies below, but you are also keenly aware of what lies above you. If you are at the lowest elevation it is more difficult to have a broader view or wider perspective.

For us, who are in this purely spiritual plane of life, we can see the human condition very broadly and very completely. We are also more able to experience the beauty which is a part of life only in the spiritual realm. We consider ourselves fortunate to be able to experience the beauty of all levels of life. As a result, we are motivated to respond to all that we see. We are motivated to develop further our capacity to love because of the example of those spirits on higher planes. But we are also motivated by our vision to strengthen and to guide and to enhance the value and meaning of your lives.

When one of you is under particular stress, we are strengthened by our efforts to work with you through your lives. We are given vision, we are given insight, we are given strength, we are given a greater capacity for love and compassion and of action to enhance your lives. So you see, for us difficulties that you experience help us in our development because of our efforts in your behalf. There is nothing that you could do in your lives that would overwhelm our capacity to respond in loving guidance. We are your guides for two reasons: very simply because you need us, and because we need you. The interaction between us is essential for our mutual growth.

Do you see the connection between this relationship and your relationship with others on the human plane? Two people need each other. Two people benefit through their interaction with one another. The same goes with a wider group, a community, a nation. The interaction, the loving support that you give to one another, is as beneficial to each of you as the interaction between you and us, your guides. We can be thought of in the same light. Your expression of love to us by allowing us to influence your lives is affirming to us but it is also strengthening for you. All benefit through openness and a willingness to give and to receive love. It is the most important relationship you can encourage. It is in the end the only relationship which is important on the spiritual side of life.

As we develop to higher planes of spiritual strength, we are really increasing our ability to relate to others through pure love—nonjudgmental, open, giving, and receptive. In the end, as you know, a complete union with God means a total surrender to complete unhindered love. The winnowing process which is necessary for spiritual development for us is the elimination of all other emotions except love. There is nothing that you can do in human life that is more important than to willfully design your life- style in a manner that enables you to be more receptive when love is offered and to be more unselfish when love is to be given. That's the greatest challenge that we face, and it is the greatest challenge for you. It is not important that you reach perfection now— only that you reach. The perfection comes later.

We love you because you are the same as we are. There are some differences but they are really unimportant. We pray that you will love all others even though you are aware of differences. It is the love that you receive and that you give which is of greatest importance. That is really what you bring to us on this side that remains with you. All else is cast away. Our love for you is complete, nonjudgmental, always present. It is a direct reflection of God's love for us. We take the warmth of God's love and reflect it upon your lives. Receive it, be warmed by it, and radiate that warmth in all directions.
