• More on other life-forms
• Avoiding conflict from differing perspectives
God gives the grace of love and peace to each of you.
Each one of you has within you all that is needed to understand the meaning of peace, the meaning of love, the importance of compassion, of giving to one another, of sharing. Yes, you are human beings, but you contain within something that is one hundred percent divine. You have something within you that is one hundred percent peace. There is something within that is one hundred percent love. All human beings contain these ingredients, these elements, this evidence of your belonging to what has been created.
Your discussion centered in part around your interest in the reality of spiritual life- forms whose characteristics are beyond your current perception and knowledge. You have been given a view of such a vast spiritual network, not so much so that each of you fully understands the implication, but rather for you to accept simply that there are other energy forms that exist in creation that are also highly aware of God and also aware of your own spirit center, your own self. The nature of that awareness will be revealed gradually during your human journey. You can always be confident that such energy as exists in those other life-forms is always positive in its function, in its purpose.
All life, as you know, involves a transformation of energy. You are certainly aware of those energy forms on your plane of life, but there are many other such forms which are equally valid and belong equally to the assembly of God’s creation. It is true, some souls who now exist in one energy form have existed in other energy forms. Your spirit is not limited only to human life. Your spirit is capable of many layers of love, many layers of awareness, many ways of belonging. Human life provides one set of environmental standards, activities, understandings, challenges, but the spirit that resides within learns from experiences beyond the human existence.
You do not need to know specifics about the nature of these other life-forms other than to acknowledge that God’s creation is far broader and deeper than the current understanding of humans. You are not, however, relegated to a position of relative ignorance. We mention these life-forms to you so that you can more accurately understand the breadth and complexity that is God’s creation and also that you can understand with greater clarity the nature of and potential of your own souls, even their adaptability to different life-forms.
When you think of other life-forms existing elsewhere, you do not limit yourself to the planet of which you are aware, for there are other bodies, there are other bits that belong to God’s creation that are yet to be discovered through human science. You are on the threshold, we can say, of a greater awareness of an additional dimension. But this journey you are on, this journey of exploration, of discovery, of experimentation, of growth is one of many journeys. You belong to a creation, the corners of which are beyond your vision. We cannot tell you all about other life-forms. Although we are aware of them, there are no terms for explanation that would be clearly understood at this point in your own evolutionary development.
Human beings are to become aware of their spirit center. That awareness is all that is needed, for with that awareness comes an understanding of your relationship to one another, your relationship to the natural environment that encloses and supports you. Your development as human beings is not directly related to a full understanding of what impacts your lives. These other life-forms do have an impact, they do influence. Their presence can be measured only through their influence. They cannot be identified through a specific observation.
Science tries to describe what is indescribable. Science gives us an image that we could not otherwise see. Science explains what is beyond our perception. As such, science is limited by its very nature of being associated with human life, human intelligence. What you learn from your guides is not in opposition to but rather an expansion of knowledge as it is currently understood to be.
You know you are given life to live. You know you are given challenges for the very purpose of those challenges. You know you are given an opportunity to rejoice, but do you really understand what that rejoicing really means? Is it a happiness? Is it unfettered joy? It is a relief from what is negative. When you have been ill and you feel better, you often say to one another, “There is nothing like feeling better,” because you have come back from the brink of illness, you have come back from the challenges of illness, and that contrast of which we have spoken is only too clear to you.
What is it that we ask of you? What is it that God asks of you? Quite simply, each of you is asked to be loving. That is a simple question. The response is most complicated. What does it mean to be loving? Does it mean to avoid conflict? Does it mean to avoid disagreement? Does it mean to avoid being ill, being worried? Certainly not. It is much greater. You are asked simply to support, to affirm. It is difficult to affirm those with whom you are in conflict. When you are asked simply to affirm, you are not being asked to agree. Agreement and affirmation are two very different responses. You are never asked by God to agree, but it is very different when you acknowledge you are being asked by God to affirm.
What do you affirm when you are in conflict? You affirm the validity of another’s perspective, not their action, but their perspective. Conflict arises when perspectives are vastly different. You become affirming through the acknowledgment that what another believes may be different than what you believe, but what that individual perceives to be reality is indeed reality for that person. Conflict results from a difference in perception of reality. So who is right? Who has the correct perception? There is no single reality. There is no perception, therefore, that is the only right perception.
So your perceptions that you bring to relationships are built on expectations. You expect something and through those expectations you perceive someone to be meeting or failing those expectations. What you expect may bring a different evaluation than what someone else may expect when viewing the same unfolding of events. And which of you is right? Is there one perception which is correct and one which is clearly off? No, your perspectives are your perspectives. They are characteristic of you. Your perspectives are the product of what you have experienced in becoming the person you are today. Therefore, what is real in perspective can only be viewed and understood from an understanding of the individual who holds that perspective. When you are in conflict with another, you must somehow determine the perspective of another and occupy that position. It doesn’t mean you will agree, but in understanding you can be loving.
We, your guides, love you. We may not agree with what you say or do at all times, but we support you, we affirm you, because our perspective is one of offering unconditional support and affirmation, unconditional love. We are not asked to give a passing grade to all that you do. That is not why we are here. We’re not here to blindly compliment, no matter what. We are here to understand your perspective, and in understanding your perspective, we grow. You have been told many times that your guides grow through their connection with you, and that your spirit center, your soul, grows in its connection with you. That growth is achieved by recognizing perspectives, and it is that same approach that you’re asked to apply in your lives at all times, most importantly and understandably most difficult when accompanying conflict…conflict of personality, conflict of understanding, conflict of perspective.
The life-forms that exist in other realms of reality sense your own lives through a different perspective. For them your lives are identified in ways unrelated to your physical shape or condition. You are identified through your souls, for your souls are all that are permanent about you. These spirits know what it is to experience human life, and as part of their development, they chose another form of life.
We who have crossed to this side, the spiritual plane, interact with you lovingly by choice. We are not instructed to, we are not forced to or intimidated to do this. We do it because we are committed to its importance. It is what your lives are that form the center for our growth.
These other life-forms who are so aware of their spiritual connection to God are not merely spirit life-forms. These are souls’ spirit centers that accompany different kinds of energy—not human energy, not plant energy, not mineral energy, not gas, not water, not solid. It is a very different reality. Is it more highly developed than you? No, but it is a different kind of perception, and those souls who decide to exist and affirm from within those life-forms learn what needs to be learned for their own journeys. Not all such souls have experienced an association with human life. Many have, but not all. It is not an enhanced school for the spirit. It is merely a different school for different spirits. You do not need to perceive that your own human lives and the souls that occupy those lives with you must by necessity experience a very different form of consciousness from human life. There is nothing required. It is an option, it is an opportunity for growth. Some souls recognize the necessity for that opportunity, and for them it is helpful but it is not for all souls.
There is no predetermined course or direction that your souls must follow in order to experience total unity with God. There are many ways of characterizing that journey. Human life is only one such way. It is the way you identify such necessary growth.
You are loved by God. You are loved by your guides. You are loved by spirit entities that accompany life-forms beyond your knowledge. There is much love that has been created, for God’s creation is a creation of light and not a creation dominated by what is dark. You must therefore live your own lives seeking light, allowing for darkness but never seeking it. It is the human preference that creates the darkness and it is God’s preference that guarantees the light. By focusing your heart on what is light, what is positive, you will bring strength to all that you do to counter what you perceive to be darkness.
Live therefore in the light. Don’t hide in nor seek the darkness, for light nourishes; darkness does not. Light creates warmth; darkness does not. Light brings hope; darkness only despair. When you are loving, you are exuding light and when you are filled with negativity and discouragement and anger, you are consumed for the moment by the darkness from which you will never receive nourishment.
Grow with the light, go with the light, and you will become the light for others. Live in that light, rejoice in that light, give thanks for that light, and see God’s presence through that divine illumination.
Amen.
