• Requested clarification on darkness/evil/negativity

You live in human life-form with other humans. Your lives bring with them the potential for sensitivity on several levels, both physical and spiritual. There is no evil counterpart to God, no Satan, but life, all life is energy. All that is produces energy. Thoughts are energies that radiate outward. “Positive thoughts” radiate positive energy. Negative energy exists with the same potential—animosity, suspicion, distrust, etc. are merely other forms of energy.

We are aware of all energy in creation, whether positive or negative. We do not exist in a kind of sunny bubble of only positivity, but we are far more aware of what is positive, and we are also acutely aware of the source of that light. Negativity comes only from the physical, never the spiritual, although we on the spirit plane are aware of this negative presence even more than you.

It is the nature of light to overcome darkness spiritually. We exist to strengthen all that is bright, all that is positive. You can think of negative forces, dark forces, as a kind of unpleasant aroma that ultimately dissipates. Part of our mission in our life is to assist with that dispersal by instructing each of you in ways that minimize the painful energy you create as human beings.

Your individual souls are an important part of that process as well. Negativism or "darkness" is a state; it is not an intention. Light or spiritual strength is an intention that overcomes that state. Both exist, yet there is no Prince of Darkness that is competing for your lives. There are only those who are presently unable or unwilling to acknowledge the light.

We often conclude our messages with you with the admonition to "rejoice in the light." We want you to accept into yourselves the beauty of that light. We want you to accept its reality, for in those moments you build your faith in its existence and the hope it brings when at times you feel entwined in the dark. It is human beings that give power to the dark. Darkness only has the strength you give it. Light has its own strength that draws you toward it. Acknowledge what is dark in your life, and draw upon the energy of the light.
