• The relationship of God, spirit guides, humans, and All That Is

• The perception of God’s abiding presence compared to the filter of sunglasses

God looks upon each of you with a countenance of love in all forms of its expression. All human beings are cherished, are valued, are supported, are uplifted, are strengthened because of God’s presence, not because of ours. We serve you because we are enabled by God for such service. Your guides function in your lives, not through will of our own but through commitment to your growth, your evolving into a presence that reflects who God really is. We serve you. We do not tell you or dictate or direct.

Yes, we bring to you what you may not know, but all that we do is solely to serve what is best for you, not what merely gives joy to us. Of course your guides experience joy. We experience joy with your collective growth, but that is a by-product of your awareness of us. Our joy is not the purpose of our service. It is merely a result of what you bring to the relationship between human life and Spirit Center. We are merely links between God and your own souls, and we serve in this capacity with the love that we are given by God to share with you.

Not every spirit who joins us becomes a guide. We are not so much selected as we are open to how we may serve God’s presence and purpose. For some of us, it is revealed that we serve human life-forms. For others, the revelation is to serve various life-forms that are unknown to you. And yet for still other spirits on our side, the calling is to serve other entities, spirit entities, that are accompanying us on our own path of growth. All spirits who join us ultimately serve beyond their own development, for it is the true purpose of all that exists to be of service, to be of use, to have a goal that exists beyond the mere recognition of what something appears to be.

In our last communication with you, we spoke of listening—listening to trees, listening to rocks, listening to other life-forms. That listening is such an essential component to what it means to flourish in the spirit. You are all the same, and yet you are all different. You are the same in spirit, but you are different in manifestation. It makes no difference whether you live in one community or another. What does make a difference is how you live in your own community. It makes a difference how you respond to those around you. It makes a difference how you respond to nature. It makes a difference how you respond in words, thoughts, in all forms of communication, and it is our service to you that provides a context for your response to your own pathways.

We keep urging you to be loving toward one another, but that is merely a way of expressing the importance of embracing with your own awareness everything and everybody, all that exists. We ask you to embrace with your love an awareness that exists beyond your senses, a whole other reality. By embracing the reality you know nothing of, you’re embracing the totality of what God creates. By acknowledging God’s creation only in terms of what your senses communicate to you exists, you are in complete disregard of all that you know nothing of. A mature spirit, a mature human being, is one who readily can speak of a reality that is beyond your understanding. You must embrace that unknown reality, for in truth you belong to that reality.

You belong to the air that you breathe although you do not see it. You belong to the minerals of the soil although you do not see them with your eyes. You belong to the lives of others on your planet whom you shall never meet. You belong to every inch, every quarter of existence, the creation by God. You belong to the totality of the universe you study and the universes beyond human comprehension. You belong to the natural world. You belong to the world created by human ingenuity and artistry. You belong to a reality that is vast beyond your wildest imaginations. If you try to imagine yourselves as an integral part of this greater reality, you can then more easily grasp your direct connection to every human being—every human being who has existed and every human being who shall exist in such a life-form.

So often we speak of unity, and this unity goes so far beyond your own thoughts, your own research, your own technology. Who would have imagined hundreds of years ago that there was a potential for energy that could transmit visual images from one place to another? Who could have imagined that there could be a common language in a region that is shared in common? Who could have believed technology would evolve that would reveal the physical characteristics of human beings beneath the merely visible components?

So it is with you as a life-form. There is much that you cannot imagine exists that will someday be understood and experienced by countless others. Just as such expanding awareness is a fact of life, so our existence is equally factual. We see your acknowledgment of our existence, but too often we also see an ignorance of how and when to connect with your guides. There is nothing magical or unexplainable about what you experience in this group, for each of you is open in your own ways to guidance, to direction from your spiritual guides. But to be successful in listening to us, you must first be open. That openness of which we speak is an openness at all times, not just when you experience great sadness or anxiety, not just when you celebrate great joy and strength. That openness belongs to every aspect of your life regardless of how mundane some events may fee.

It is almost like putting a filter on your vision that makes everything you see appear in a slightly different hue. Consider our presence in your lives as indeed a kind of filter. Everything, and we underscore everything, you experience can be observed and taken in through a filter that affirms that God Is, and you are a part of God’s reality. It is a filter that changes everything in your vision. It doesn’t mean that what you find to be sad or frustrating somehow disappears, but rather that all you experience is experienced while being held in God’s arms, strengthened by God’s presence. We often assert “you are never alone,” but you need to live your lives viewed through the filter that shows God’s presence. Part of that filter is a faith that that presence is a reality regardless of what is experienced.

If you wear sunglasses with a green color constantly, the green that you see may appear almost normal to the point that you are no longer reminded of the fact that you are wearing green lenses. Whatever is red appears identifiably as red. Whatever is blue appears identifiably as blue. You become aware of your surroundings that appear normal, and it is only when you remove the sunglasses that you are reminded that all was filtered through those glasses.

So it is with the filter that is God’s presence, that is our presence as a strength giver to your lives. What you see may be experienced as being alone, as being somehow normal as you may define that. But in reality that presence is still there, just as those sunglasses are still there, and yet colors are recognizable. The reality of those glasses remains regardless of your immediate awareness.

As you remind yourselves of God’s place in all, you can ultimately arrive at a place in your own lives where you always feel that connection—that connection to God, and therefore the connection to us, therefore the connection to your neighbors, therefore a connection to people whom you will never meet, connection to those whose human lives long preceded your own, the connection to all human life beyond your own, and a connection to the entirety of creation beyond your wildest imagination. This spiritual presence in your lives should serve as great comfort. You can always feel uplifted in God’s arms. You can always feel your hands embraced in the loving clasp of God. Your connection to God is permanent regardless of your awareness, but your lives are made whole through that awareness.

When you feel most alone, when you feel somehow forgotten, abandoned, imagine yourself taking off and putting on those sunglasses, and remind yourself that all exists through the loving care of God. You are nurtured, you are comforted, you are strengthened, you are affirmed, your lives are given meaning because of that all- encompassing love. Find ways of expressing that love, and being a presence of God in the lives of others. Every day seek ways to live as God, just as you seek ways to live with God.

You are blessed by God as all are blessed. Be joyful in every acknowledgment of belonging to the creation that is permeated through and through by love. We surround you with our love. Our love is God’s love.
