Your God is always with you. As you know, there is nothing you can do that is not within the view of God. It is also true that there is nothing that you can do that prevents you from knowing God. God's presence exists running in two directions: God's awareness of you and your awareness of God.

You are correct in the benefits of being able to live wholly within one's perception of God's will, but it is also true that it is God's will that at times in your lives you do act on faith rather than only on concrete knowledge. That act is part of God's will. Your lives can reflect God's will by the way you live them and not just by what you hear God telling you to do. For a life to be well balanced you must both exercise faith with a belief in God's wishes and live acting out your perception of God's concrete goals meant for you.

You act out of knowledge and you act out of faith. A life devoted purely to faith misses much of what is really the purpose of human life, and that is the exercise of action through faith, recognizing the lack of concrete awareness of the implications of those actions. But living life just through your actions without knowledge deprives you of the sense of closeness and assurance in the reality of God. If you insist on living by acting out your faith without full knowledge, never experiencing the serenity and sense of direction which comes from full knowledge of God's presence in a situation, you are avoiding the confirming presence of God and living only with a hope for something never seen. Both are required for your lives to take on the character and to bear out the purposes for which life was intended.

Whenever you can, you must ask where God is in all that you do. From time to time you will know without a doubt that it is according to God's desires that you do one thing or another. You must have those experiences—you must always seek them. But when you ask God for specific answers to every aspect of your lives, you must also be willing to accept the fact that some answers will not be concrete. Some answers will not be as clear as day. The time will eventually come when you must make a decision and not know what the best decision is. It is then that you must remember that you asked God for guidance, and you must have faith that you are being guided. That guidance may not be in the form of a specific answer, but it will nevertheless be offered through wisdom to make the proper choice. In both cases, you are being guided, you are being led.

If you have a hunch that you must decide in favor of one particular action and you turn your back on it for reasons of pride or selfishness or greed, then you can be assured that you are going against the will of God. But if you are presented with a choice, the situation has been the subject of prayer, and you do not see a ready solution to a dilemma, but you seem to be leaning in one direction, that direction, not being motivated by ego, pride, greed, selfishness, is indeed the proper direction. Sometimes you have a hunch that you should do or take a particular step in your lives. This may defy your sense of reason and logic, but somehow feels right. If you pray to be shown the wisdom whether to accept that hunch or not, you will be given that wisdom and you will make the correct choice. Rest assured, no one makes an incorrect choice when such a choice is approached with prayer. You will always make the right choice. At the time you may have your doubts. At the time you may feel you have taken a step backward. But the choice was indeed the best choice.

For some of you it will be easier than for others to sense the presence of God every step of the way. You do what is best for you as your needs dictate. Your needs will of course change as your soul develops, and you should be willing to accept those changes. Perhaps it is that you rely in the future more on guidance, step by step. Perhaps you rely less on guidance, step by step. One is not correct and the other incorrect. It is a matter of balance. Your lives achieve that balance, both measured at the moment and over a long period of time. Have faith in your ability to be able to respond to God's guidance when you pray for it.

What is most essential here is that you do pray for guidance. You cannot go through life making your choices, determining the paths of your lives without looking inward to the voice of God. That view inward is essential for your human lives to take on spiritual significance. It is growth we speak of here. You are living your lives to grow. You are living your lives to develop. You know that you are all at separate points along the road. None of you are better than another. You merely have different needs and thereby different objectives, different paths to reach those objectives and meet those needs. The differences are part of human life and should be welcomed and not judged. In the end it is not important whether one of you relies more on experience as a teacher or on total insight. It is only important that you are concerned for your own growth as human beings and as souls.

In our last message to you regarding free will and randomness, there was considerable mention of the issue of time. In our existence in the spiritual plane, time does not exist. It is not an element that governs anything. How can you put a label of time on love? How do you put a label of time on compassion, on giving? There is no room for time. It is time which creates so much of your frustration. You wish to be guided by God and you set up a framework involving time that surrounds God's response. If you don't feel a sense of guidance now or tomorrow or next month, it is easy to feel you are not being guided, but you are being guided and that guidance is undeniable and fully recognizable when you eliminate time.

You are blessed by the gift of love, the capacity for being loved as well as loving. This blessing from God is available to all. Precious few draw from the well, but it is abundantly full to all who seek it. Your lives flourish and are nourished by God's light, and we, your guides, rejoice at the radiance you all send forward. We bless you with God’s radiance.
