• Transformation
God, who is the creator of all, is with you constantly, for God is truly the creator— actually the only creator. You each have the power to transform. That is your purpose, but it is only God who creates. Let us spend time together exploring the process of transformation.
Love transforms. Loving acts transform, but so does hate, jealousy, selfishness— all transform in their own way. The natural state of all that exists is the state of transformation. A piece of rock is the result of prior transformation, but it is equally in the midst of the very process of that transformation because transformation is never complete. Transformation is a form of evolution, an evolution of energy. Water is a transformation of hydrogen and oxygen, but air contains some level of moisture, and therefore one can believe that even the driest air is a kind of transformation of what is earlier identified as water. That air is a transformation for it is getting warmer, getting colder, becoming drier, becoming more humid. As the temperature changes, the ability of air to contain water is changed. It is transformed.
The child is transformed into an adult—not quickly, but no less real. The burning of fuels is a transformation. The words you speak are a transformation. The words that have been spoken lead to transformation. Your thoughts are a transformation of electrical energy. Electricity is a transformation of numerous charged particles of which science truly understands very little. Vision is a transformation of what is outside your personal space into something that fires matter in the brain, and from those countless firings, helps give meaning to what has been seen. The act of breathing transforms oxygen to carbon dioxide. It transforms the dry air that surrounds you into a moist air that is contained within.
Everywhere you look, energy is changing, transformation is being achieved. Your souls transform their understanding of your personal reality, and in that transformation, give meaning to life. The very fact that you gather together gives importance to the transformation of knowledge, a new way of thinking about something that relates to your lives. You have all had what you refer to as an “ah-ha” experience. That is a transformation.
The purpose of your human lives is to transform your vision of a life of challenge to a life of love. Such a change never happens quickly and for that reason, your spiritual energy is transformed from one energy form to another. You are given human life, not because of what you know, but because of what you do not know. You are given life because of your potential to be transforming and to be transformed. The growth that is transformation is a growth of the soul. It is that growth that provides a texture, a feel, a reality, a context, if you will, for life, for the advancement of spirit, for the achievement of peace, for the reality of love.
If you accept that your human lives are for the purpose of change and development, then you can accept in spirit the challenges of the spirit, the challenges for the spirit. The human experience is the interface between potential and realization. You all have the power to be loving. It is your potential. Whether you bring into reality the presence of that potential or not, that is a function of being human.
Life is not for the faint of heart, but by the same token, life is not for the arrogant. Arrogance masks, builds barriers, that although seeming to be secure, are in fact most vulnerable. There is no place in human life for arrogance. There is no place in human life for false modesty.
Each of you is asked to be open, to be receptive, to be willing to observe, to be willing to participate. All human beings share that common ground. As you become more sensitized to your own shared lives, the channel for your transformation is made ever freer. You transform your lives through your interaction, not through your inaction, for life requires commitment. Commitment is the will to change, the will to transform. It is not a matter of having the will to create, for in transforming, you are in effect creating something new. As your energy strengthens, it is transformed into becoming loving, and that love, though not new, nevertheless is associated with the Center of all Love. It is associated because love acknowledges only love. Love is not something temporary. Love is permanent as it reflects and filters only that which remains forever.
Yes, love is never selfish or vindictive, but love shares equally with love expressed in different ways. There is no expression of love that is more meaningful or more valid than another. There is much that is expressed in the name of love, but no love is more valid than another. No one can judge the love of another. No one can evaluate the honesty of the love expressed by another. You as human beings can only acknowledge the love that you fill others with, or are filled by. The love that gives meaning to human life is direct, immediate, honest and unselfish.
Often, we entreat you to engage in life without judgment. That is true love. You can observe another’s behavior as being opposed to your own conditions for behavior, but you nevertheless are empowered to be loving.
That drop of water that falls to the ocean has meaning only because it belongs to the ocean. It has meaning only because it is the ocean. Your lives have meaning only because others’ have meaning. That simple acknowledgment is the transformation of your spirit within to membership with the Spirit Center that is the center you call God.
You must therefore engage your lives such that you change your perspective, you change your center of balance, you change your context for life. When you do, that transformation leads steadily from your being loving to becoming Love. Your lives are the crucible that enables a beautiful transformation. Your lives are the catalyst making such change, such growth, a reality.
Therefore seek out what changes. Seek out what alters. Seek out what challenges. Seek out what discourages. Seek out what creates fear. Seek out what creates love, and a transformation that each of you seeks will be brilliant in its intense presence, in its absolute reflection, the essence of God. Embrace those moments, fleeting as they may be, and allow yourselves to be changed, reformed, strengthened, so that you become entirely all that you seek. Be blessed in that grand and glorious transformation.
Amen.
