God anoints and nourishes and blesses and protects each one of you, and indeed all of humankind.

What you seek in life is, in truth, what you seek through the realm of eternal life. The seeking, striving, the ability to be drawn into potential is a part of the spirit’s quest at all times. You know you have been given life to live. You know you have been given life to experience the challenges, the positives, the negatives, the pleasure-giving, the pain-giving. But what you are being given in life is actually an eternal gift. The gift is a capacity, a potential, to become more aware of God’s presence.

It is not enough to acknowledge on occasion the reality of God in your human lives, and then when you join us, to assume that all that can be done, has been done. In truth, our lives are also a quest, a seeking out, a concentration of potential.

Our lives are a joyous path, and there are also detours for us. Those detours hold great potential, and we explore them, willingly, even eagerly. It is true we do not suffer physically. We do not endure the kinds of challenges that are generally connected to the human condition. But we do seek, we do aspire, we do learn, we do grow in our knowledge and in our understanding. We grow in our faith, for even in our spiritual state, there is not complete awareness. It is always evolving, and although we do not die in the human sense, we do evolve from one level of understanding to another.

There is no time for us. There is no measurement. We grow as we grow. We continue to learn as we learn individually. Some souls learn at a pace different from others, but that pace is not noticeable for it is unimportant. With no time, there is no measurement of how quickly or how slowly something really occurs. Life, for us, simply expands. The Light that surrounds us continues to be supportive and loving, continues to illuminate our own paths.

When we choose to communicate with you, it is a choice made only in love. It is never a duty. But in acting in our love, we are also making a commitment to your lives. Precious few human beings know of our presence. Even fewer are willing to accept it. But we serve out of love. All human beings have an ability to be receptive to the guidance of their particular spirit guides. No one is incapable of such guidance, in fact those who deny us, are still guided by us, for we guide by love—not by reward.

There are many ways of experiencing and knowing our presence. Some individuals see evidence. Some hear. Some feel. Some speak in tongues. Some speak what they hear. Some write what they feel or what they hear. Some speak with no full understanding of what is being said. Others write with no full understanding of what is being transmitted. There are those who write and simply watch the hand. The way we communicate differs from many spirits. One is not more valid than another. The most public way of sharing what is gleaned from a sensitivity to our structure of life is through writing.

You ask about Emmanuel. Emmanuel is not the real name, but it is a name that gives meaning and identity. The name is of no importance. The question always arises, “Regardless of the name, who is Emmanuel?” Emmanuel is actually a collection of many spirit guides speaking as one. What is communicated in all material that is channeled is what can be received, perceived, by the individual or individuals within the human plane of existence. There is no individual who provides a more valid view of God than another. They are differing spirits, and yet the spirits that are recorded in such ways present a side of God’s creation that is otherwise unavailable. No view of that creation and its truths is fully complete. Every view includes what is true and misses what is part of that truth. What is missed in no way eliminates or decreases the validity.

You are asking as human beings to know more about: Why life? Who is God? How do I know that God exists? Where does God exist? Why does God exist? Why do people need to exist? There is a natural desire to learn the answers to these fundamental questions. You should know that the answers that are understood by one group of people may be different than the answers understood by another. It is much like the spoken as opposed to the written word. Accents, dialects all are combined in what is said. How one speaks has an impact on a certain collection of listeners. That same speech may be different in impact to another group.

Our efforts are to reach human beings in whatever way brings truth and comprehension with the full realization that that comprehension is not identical for everyone. As a result, there are many efforts to share a view of God, a view of the spirit. Those efforts are valid because they reflect an experience, a perspective, a commitment to the search, to the pursuit of faith, the pursuit of understanding.

Emmanuel is an important source of truth for many. It is not in conflict with the truth about God. It is not in conflict with the truth about the human condition, but it speaks in a way that will reach one segment of humanity. It is no more or less valid than other dialects or accents. It speaks and it is up to others to listen, to dilute, digest, to gain in love, to gain a vision.

Your assembled group also seeks to share with others what you have been given, and that effort is fully justified and fully blessed. It will become what it becomes. You cannot overlay a grand plan when sharing matters of the spirit. As you contemplate what is shared, what you need will become clear, and you must have faith in that process.

It is the same with your individual lives. Your lives have value. Your lives are important simply because they are a part of the spirit, a part of the spiritual journey. There is no life more important than another. All lives are equal. All attempts to understand God are equal. There are many who would seek personal gain from such effort, and that is understandable and very human. But sharing a view of a transcendent presence of God is not to be engaged in with a commitment to a personal gain. It is rather a commitment to a spiritual gain. What comes from such efforts is appropriate, but it is not the goal. The goal of life is to share. The goal of life is to give of yourself spiritually. And if that sharing and that giving takes on the form of a publicly available medium, that is fine, but it is not a requirement.

Your lives, the lives of all human beings, are following as they should along an appropriate path. But your lives continually intersect with the lives of others, and although those intersections are not the primary direction of your own path, they interact with that path. You are richer in spirit as a result. You are inspired by the strength, the conviction of spirit, exhibited by another. You are inspired by a demonstration of faith. It is not the faith worn on the sleeve. It is a faith that develops from within and gives its own indication of reality.

You learn from prayer. You learn from these experiences. But you also learn important lessons in life from others: a gained wisdom, a desire to live full of faith, a desire to be helpful to others. You also learn from pleas for help. The growth of the spirit does not result from your own initiation of intent. It can grow from the intent of others. When you are receptive to those other intentions, you grow as a result. Your faith draws sustenance from those around you, and likewise, the faith of those around you draws sustenance from you. It means you have a responsibility to others, and they have responsibilities toward you. This is not a form of communication that only serves in one direction. You communicate with another by listening to pleas for help. You communicate with another by initiating whatever is needed in assistance of another.

Sometimes in your own lives what you attempt to create is not what is of the most value, but rather what happens along the way in the pursuit. It is for this reason that we emphasize the scenery along the path holding the potential for so much growth. Of course it is necessary to seek objectives, to have goals in mind. But allow yourselves the space to acknowledge that perhaps the goals in themselves are not what’s vital, but in seeking those goals, something else of great value results. It is the receptivity that we speak of. If you are receptive to what you encounter, it may often be that what is not expected, what is not anticipated, is actually the most appropriate goal. It means living a life full of faith that the path and all that you’ve encountered belong—not only belong, but belong together.

You are asked to live a life of faith. That is a life of vision, of openness, a life that casts your view on a broad horizon and not the next stone of your journey. You are guided on your journey, but you are also guided to look to either side, and you are guided to grow from what you see and what you experience. If you seek an objective and that objective is not met, you may indeed have achieved what is most important, most appropriate, most loving, most helpful, most affirming. Allow yourselves that broader vision. Allow yourselves the luxury of not achieving what you think is important, but rather have faith that you are achieving what is best, in the highest good, best for you. This is the only way to proceed in life. Otherwise you are frustrated by the detours and think that all that you encounter serves only to prevent you from reaching what you choose to be appropriate. Be open to what God provides as being appropriate. Pursue what you believe to be your goals, and allow yourselves to be drawn to the side from time to time, for there is enrichment and nourishment for the soul as you pause along the path.

You are loved. You are accompanied on your journey every step. You are accompanied by us, but we are merely there with you so that you may know more fully that you are accompanied by the hand of God.
