All are becoming.

November 29, 2018

God speaks and your heart hears. What you hear is evidence of God in each of your lives. That presence, while equal for all, is given meaning, strength, and vision according to your own individual needs. The great lesson of these opportunities we are given, to speak of God to each of you, is a strong force, a blessing of vision, an openness of spirit, a receptivity of heart. It is a blessing which is tailored or made whole for each of you to draw upon according to your own needs, your own understandings, your own individual paths. The words are heard by all, but their meanings are known most intimately individually. One can say your spirits drink from the same well but experience that nourishment according to your own needs.

Your guides are with each of you always. Your guides help to provide direction according to those needs that you have, and yet it is a kind of miracle that when you are gathered together, the immediate experience is a common experience, but the impact is individual. All drink from the same well, and all are nourished according to the need.

In a way, isn’t this what a feast is? It is a nourishment in which all present draw according to their hunger, need, and thirst. God speaks and speaks to all, but the impact of God’s presence is not the same for any two people.

You are valued, each of you, because that is what your guides are dedicated to doing. Everyone is on a unique individual path, and yet those paths intersect with others constantly and fluidly. There are no barriers; there are only differences in character. No path is right where another is wrong; all paths are appropriate.

All forms of thirst and hunger of spirit are appropriate. One doesn’t sit at the feast with less deserving thirst than the next person. All are thirsty and hungry. All are seeking and on a path. For each person, that path leads to the ultimate goal of complete Love. You become, as it were, precisely what it is you seek.

Learning of love is but one step. Expressing love is but one step. Seek an understanding of what Love is, of what God is. The end is not understanding; the end is becoming. You do not live merely to understand God’s presence. You live as a process of becoming God’s presence. All whom you know or know of, regardless of their callings in life, are in the process of becoming. All people are not all that Love is, but each is engaged in the act of becoming. The path toward becoming Love is by its very nature different for everyone.

You expressed your difficulty in dealing with the actions of others, the consequences of which are often the suffering of others. What is the meaning of that kind of encounter? Can you, should you resist what you see with your heart to be destructive and not reflecting your understanding of God?

In a word, the answer is “yes,” but that yes to resisting what you believe to be wrong is only part of the dilemma that each of you experiences. You can resist. You can see the benefit of denying another’s actions that are destructive, but the question is “how?” For some, that resistance is a redoubling of their own activities devoted to the affirmation of the sacredness of all life. For others, the activity is not a visible or physical activity, but the exercising of spiritual energy.

That exercising, in its most powerful form, as you recognize is through prayer. But what do you pray for? Do you pray that others stop what they are doing? Do you pray that others reform themselves? Do you pray that others find punishment for their behavior? Do you pray that others discover what it means to open the heart and to see? Do you pray that others will open the heart and discover what it means to listen, to be, to be present, and to be caring? What is it that you pray for?

It is part of the path of human progression and experience of life that each of these prayers will find acceptance, will find justification. That justification may be selfdetermined. It may be through societal pressures or beliefs or understandings. It may be through a sense of spiritual identity. There are so many lenses through which you experience life, and it is because of your experiences that you are motivated or feel justified in praying or acting in a way that reflects your lens-influenced understanding.

There is no human being that has ultimate and complete understanding of even one other person. No one, regardless of training or life experience, is gifted with a lens that provides total clarity when being in the presence of someone else. The dehumanization and devaluation of another individual is in no way reflective of the reality of God, the Spirit Center.

Too often societies seek a common understanding of what is of value and what is totally without value. When such determinations are made related to the behavior of someone or some people, that may be reflective of the reality of a loving spirit energy, but when such evaluations question the very legitimacy of someone’s worth as a creation of a loving energy, then such judgments are in no way reflective of that Spirit Center.

You should never criticize an individual as being beneath being receptive to prayer. All that exists benefits from prayer. Those whom you fear and those to whom you are fully opposed are of absolute equal importance in the eyes of the Spirit Center, the God of love and compassion. All are equal. All are related together as a single entity.

That entity is not limited to a single location. It is not just a set of spiritual beliefs, sects, or philosophical understandings. The single entity is the entity of all that exists. It means all on your planet. It means all anywhere in the totality of what exists. Everything, every individual, all that you know of and all that you know nothing of are part of that single entity.

We urge you so often to avoid judgment, but that is judgment of an individual’s value, of an individual’s participation in being part of all that God has created. There really is no difference between any human being in terms of being a home of the spirit. That home may deny the existence of the spirit. That home may interpret the meaning of the spirit in any number of ways, but such an encounter with spirit has no bearing on the truth that the spirit is. The presence of God is. There is no place in the shadow of God’s presence. There are individuals, societies, and collections of entities that deny or have not learned of the reality of the Spirit Center, but such denial, lack of vision, or understanding has no impact on the reality of the Spirit Center and your connection to that Center and to all else.

What do you do then when confronted by destructive behavior? You acknowledge it first, and then you determine how best to express that acknowledgment. For each of you, that determination will be different.

The child who is born into a family without love may exercise that life experience in ways that are cruel, in ways that denigrate the blessing of life, and it may be that the expression toward others of what has been experienced has no direct reflection of all you know about God. Regardless of that lack of God reflection, you must, as was expressed tonight, find some basis for prayer, the nature of that prayer being any of a number of different directions, but never in a way that devalues the fact that that human being is a home for God’s presence. It may be an unwelcoming home, but it is still connected in the most significant ways to all that God has created.

Speak up when you feel you should. Pray when you feel you should. Find ways of listening with the heart when you feel you should. Seek appropriate ways to stop behavior that clearly does not come from love, but never deny the equality of that other to your own lives, because you are all created from the same source.

God’s love is often described in anthropomorphic terms, for human beings are really not fully capable of grasping any part of love that exists outside of the human experience. God’s love is not the same as human love. Being loving toward another is just a small corner of the real love that we speak of as emanating from the Spirit Center. You understand love as you have experienced love.

You may appreciate the beauty that is brought into your life from nonhuman entities that you encounter in life, but you are not fully grasping a sense of love emanating from the beauty of a flower. You may love the beauty of the flower. You may be inspired by its presence, beauty, aroma, and the shape of that flower. Love is experienced, but you don’t feel a kind of human love coming from something that is inanimate.

The love that you offer a flower can help it grow and evolve into something of great beauty. You know of studies that attempt to explain the impact of your voice on something inanimate. People will speak in loving terms to one plant and as an experiment speak angrily at another, and then they are surprised that the plant they spoke so lovingly to thrived more fully. Clearly there is a connection you have with life around you, but you are still limited in your understanding of love beyond the love that you have received from other human beings.

As a result, in order for God to have meaning, many individuals impose humanlike emotions in their understanding of God. “God is angry. God is filled with wrath. God punishes. God comforts.” The truth is you feel comfort because of the greater loving reality that is God. You are nurtured as your vision and heart are opened to receive loving energy that is God.

The God whom you seek who is the center of all is a force, an energy, that is positive and creates light, not darkness. It is a God that has as its center a component that is best understood by humans as a human kind of love, but that love is far more extensive. That love is an energy of creation, one that builds and reinforces. It is an energy that reaches out with understanding, but it is not adequately described when the presence of God is given only human characteristics.

For countless years people have spoken of and written about the wrath of God. The presence of God is not a punishing presence. There is no wrath, for wrath is a consequence of judgment, and since there is no judgment, there is no wrath. There is no sense of rewarding for particular behaviors when we speak of God’s presence. There is no bestowing of more blessings on one than are provided to another, for that implies a judgment of worth, a judgment of value. One person is worth more or valued more than another, and therefore receives more blessings—that simply does not exist. The God of love is a God of love as described in part in human terms, but that humanlike love is not a clear description of the energy that is spirit. Your lives have a center within them, a Spirit Center, that is a center of energy. It is a center that is common for all.

The question was raised about a change of energy. Is it created, is it destroyed when no longer associated with human form? The energy remains. The expression of that energy is transformed, and that transformed energy has its own impact on the rest of creation. You are in part the consequence of all that exists. It is a consequence of energy that existed in space long before the formation of planets and stars. There is a common bond between who you are and the most distant stars in your universe and the most distant entities in other universes. You are what they are. You are because they are. There is no true separation. It is an energy that is shared by all that is.

Whether we speak of animate or inanimate, you are never fully defined as being different from all else that you experience. That energy is held in common with everything, the totality of what exists, the energy that resulted in your own creation—all of that is a part of the magnificent, positive, creative presence that you as human beings refer to as God and bestow upon that center certain human traits. Those traits are not incorrect, but they are incomplete.

It is not wrong to think of God as being loving in terms of human characteristics of compassion, caring, supporting, embracing, affirming, and life-giving. That belongs to what God is, but it is not the totality of what God is. You need not be critical when you try to understand the energy that is God in especially human terms, for that is part of the truth, and that is the part that is most easily identified with as human beings. You can embrace that truth because it belongs to the greater reality.

Be reminded constantly of your union with all that is. Be reminded of your being part of the energy that is God. Be reminded that you will become what it is you seek in God. You will all become that positive presence that gives meaning and sacredness to all that you open your heart toward.

Rejoice in your commonality. Rejoice in the reality of being an important component of the God you seek. Your lights will ultimately be The Light. The love that you give others will ultimately be The Love. And the God that you seek will become the God that you are.

Rest in the light and rejoice always with the openness of heart.

Amen.
