God’s energy like a trampoline.
February 21, 2022
It is the voice of spirit, it is the voice of love, it is the voice of giving and compassion, it is the voice of the balance you seek that is surrounding, nurturing and guiding your every step. It is indeed only the Spirit Center, the creative force, the loving light that you refer to as God.
Each of you exists within an enormous sphere of potential, a sphere which is not so much identified by shape but rather by the completeness with which you are embraced. You are embraced from all directions, not just from above or beside, in front, behind, beneath you. It comes from everywhere. This connectedness of God’s presence is no different than the connectedness that exists between all of you. We can say that each human being is on a giant trampoline, and when one moves it is felt everywhere. When one issues forward and outward the energy of love, it is indeed felt everywhere.
The loving presence that is God is like that trampoline, not so much just being on it but that it exists, and by its very existence, you and all that exists are moved by each change that takes place. You are in a sense standing on the trampoline, and the trampoline is the energy that is God that supports each of you, that vibrates between each of you, that communicates with each of you, that in truth connects you.
Your conversations this evening had much to do with communication, communication between forms of energy, communication in terms of understanding what others have said and written and imagined and created. It has been about communication of the effort to understand what seems on the surface to be beyond comprehension.
We have spoken of energy and various forms of energy, many of which are knowing in their understanding of this sphere that surrounds them. Human beings have “traveled far” in your own terms in understanding something of what it means to be alive, but in those travels you often try to acknowledge what it is that distinguishes your lives from other life-forms. While this is a natural pursuit to be engaged in, it is looking at reality in a mirror, for true understanding is not distinguishing how you are different but discerning how you are the same.
Science is all too often focused in a myopic way on characterizing in the most finite detail the nature of those differences with the belief that delineating those differences serves to more clearly define the true nature of what it is that is being studied. Scientists, regardless of their particular direction, tend to become more and more focused on establishing those clear definitions.
You see the same pursuit when considering society. Even within your own society much energy is being spent understanding what makes you unique. What is it about your culture that is unique? What is it about your heritage, your ethnic identity that defines your uniqueness? This growing momentum to define that uniqueness filters through all levels of human existence. It may be as simple as rivalries between towns, rivalries between people, rivalries between nations. There is, of course, a place for competition and rivalry when it is for the purpose of appreciating, of holding up as an illustration of resilience, dedication, skill, personal sacrifice, teamwork, working with others. Those are all, of course, perfectly normal, but that kind of differentiation can quickly divide people and nations and intensify that sense of otherness.
As you know, as we have taught, there is no “other.” There is only “us.” The reality is a “we” not a “me” as an essence of truth. It is always disturbing for us to witness such emphasis on other, such emphasis on the need to dominate, to control, to dictate, to manipulate.
The trajectory of human existence is a bit like a wave which flows and ebbs and flows again and retreats. There are times within the existence of human beings when there is a sense of unity. That sense breaks down in divisions. Separateness becomes all-important, but that separation eventually exhausts itself, and in its place comes a thirst for unity, a thirst for peace, a thirst for an end to such separation. The general trajectory of human life is toward unity, but that trajectory takes place over millennia in human terms, and it is never a straight line.
When we observe the evolution of humankind, we see the tendency to seek unity despite the missteps, despite whatever efforts may be made seemingly for the betterment of all. Much that is pursued for the, quote, “betterment of all” is in fact for the betterment of some. The true meaning of the betterment of all is indeed implying for all, for in embracing the concept of all you are acknowledging a unity that is all.
There is much tension in the world at this time in your collective travels. These crises are periodic in nature, and yet they are not permanent. You turn to God, and you pray for what’s best. Often those prayers are what is best for you and those you love, what is best for your nation, what is best for your part of the globe of earth. Such prayers are understandable for the very reason that you are concerned about what impacts your sense of life, whether that is directed close at hand or far away. You must always recognize that what is best extends far beyond what you know. That which you know of is only a small portion of what is.
We see these interruptions in the progress of humanity as being in a sense impermanent. We see these interruptions often as being with the best of intent. You are who you are. You are where you are on your journeys. Your view of life is colored by the vision you have. When your heart’s vision is restricted, your view of what is is also restricted. If your concerns are about what is immediate, you can be blinded by that immediacy, unable to fully grasp the greater reality.
The question of communication is not limited to what is said or written or done. Communication is not just about what is felt, for all of those find a center of focus located in the self whose focus is entirely determined by a vision of the heart. When we ask you to find ways of embracing all that is, we are not asking you to understand fully what is beyond you. Rather we are asking you to embrace the truth that all is one, even when you fail to see that unity. Just knowing it without understanding it, without seeing it or feeling it, without experiencing it can be the strength that is needed to embrace what is, and in turn embrace God.
You’re not expected always to be nonjudgmental, and yet in your seeking to be more nonjudgmental, your heart vision is reaching out to encompass more of all that is. The more you seek, the more you can embrace. The more you accept even without knowing, the more you become a part of that sphere that surrounds all that is. You become more able to embrace all that you do not understand. That in itself is a great step forward, for there is always reluctance to embrace what you don’t know.
What you don’t know may feel threatening. It may threaten you physically. It may threaten your ideas, your concepts, your values, your beliefs, your expectations, your relationships. There is much impact that the unknown can have on your lives, but by embracing the unknown, you are opening the heart to the potential to see what is truly there.
As you continue along your pathways, welcome the surprises. Welcome what seems to be threatening. Welcome what brings uncertainty. Welcome what brings fear. Welcome what brings pain. We are not saying be glad when you are fearful, be glad when you are feeling pain. By welcome we mean to bring into your lives all that you experience and allow yourselves to grow and find nourishment. You may not find nourishment from the pain and from the threat, but you can find nourishment through the pain. You can find nourishment through the threat. You can find nourishment through what is unknown. You can find nourishment through suffering just as you find nourishment through what provides joy, comfort, and affirmation.
You are then communicating with all that exists, and through that communication, you are gaining greater awareness of all that is. You are gaining a greater acceptance to welcome the God who surrounds your very existence, the God who feeds the spirit, the God who connects all of you so that you are aware of the impact of others and others become aware of your presence.
It is indeed a kind of spiritual trampoline. You all move on that surface, and it’s that surface that is God’s presence connecting each of you, connecting all that exists on all the earths and all the planets, stars, galaxies, energy-forms, universes. Find comfort in their unity. Find ways of understanding more deeply how you are the same rather than how you are defined. You and all of us, your guides, are the same. Our heart vision is different, but that difference is negligible because we all are sharing the energies of our existence on that same platform that communicates and unifies.
You are blessed in that infinite unity.
Amen.
